We want you to get to know our Team! Below, you will see some answers from our CEO, Shane White, and learn more about his time in Real Estate!
How long have you worked in Real Estate/How did you get started?
I have been working in real estate since 2000 and before that worked for 2 homebuilders in the Houston area. When Paige and I moved back to Liberty Hill after our oldest daughter Bailey was born, I joined Cyde in his real estate office and started selling real estate. I thought I might also build homes on my own, but that never materialized. I found my passion in helping people reach their real estate dreams.
What is one of your most memorable experiences as a realtor?
I think my most memorable experience in real estate was being invited to be interviewed by Howard Brinton to become one of his STAR Power Stars. Howard was an icon in the real estate world and built a business interviewing top agents who shared everything they did that made them successful, and Howard shared that with the industry. Most everything I have learned about running our successful team and office I have learned from other top agents, many of them STAR Power Stars.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I love to spend time in Rockport at our vacation home on the water. I grew up in Rockport, and love boating and fishing and spending time with our family and friends.
Tell us a story about your first sale or a unique situation in real estate.
I can still remember the very first listing appointment I went on with Clyde. It was a manufactured home on a couple of acres, and wouldn't have been anything super special. But we sell everything from small lots to large ranches. I was just excited to get to learn from Clyde and get started in the business. When we arrived to view the property, the owner opened the door and it was a real-life hoarding situation (before people knew what hoarding was from the TV shows). We could literally barely walk through the house to see the bedrooms and bathrooms. And I was thinking..."what have I gotten myself into?" Needless to say, we did not list the home as there would have been no way to sell it. But I didn't hang my head...we did finally get to see some homes that were ready to be sold!
What drives you in your real estate career?
I just love to see people succeed! I love helping my agents and team members achieve their goals. I love to problem-solve and negotiate. And I love to help our clients with their real estate needs and to create clients for life. And many times great friendships.
